Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

The wood elf leaned back on the cushion, exhaling as he pieced his story together internally.
"I am called Elphis, I am a merchant and archer."
His eyes roved around the tent, glancing at the crone and meeting her gaze.
"I know not of my mother- she was likely a nomad like my father and I." A glint appeared in his eye.
"But that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Soon I will be a name known in every elven land! No longer will I be someone to be looked down upon!"
Elphis' voice grew boisterous as he sat straight, a prideful smile growing on his face as he rose from his makeshift seat.
"I will strive to become an elf of great riches, and I will work until I'm at the very top of society! There will be no room for failure."
As he made his way to the exit, he turned back to the crone to give his final remark, "Engrave my name into your mind, you will hear of me again, even if it takes decades- no! Centries! My fame may even reach this very town."
Elphis slung his bow over his shoulder and grabbed his overfilled satchel on the way out. Filled with a renewed sense of determination as he strode away from the tent.
