Urghish

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

I nod before taking my seat with a huff, "I'm a wanderer, a pit fighter, a...". I sharply cut myself off, "A bounty hunter. But you know this, yes? My story truly begins many years ago as a young lad. My clan and I lived on the fringe of the world in our Hamlet and we kept to ourselves, until *that* day." I sigh as I close my eyes. "That day my world came crashing down. Ologs burned *EVERYTHING* I had and everyone I know." I wince and regain my composure. "From then on me and my brother have travelled the land, the last of our clan and kin." I look the crone in the eye as I lean forward "Now I am here, and you have something I want...".
