    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is acting with unreasonable power, such as an untrained human easily defeating a strong orc or acting without allowing a character to react or respond.

True to her Highlander roots, Amy was born on a small rural farm to two loving parents who raised her to value hard work and resourcefulness. She grew up hearing tales at bedtime of heroes travelling in far-off lands, and has wanted to go on adventures of her own ever since. Her favorite stories were those of the Wood Elves, and she strives to live as they do, embracing a love of the forest and cultivating a strong connection to all things natural. She even designed her own Ilmyumier! Without siblings or friends to keep her company, Amy developed a strong sense of individualism and has learned to fend for herself. With her parents’ blessing, it is now time for her to leave the farm and find the life she has always wanted, exploring the world and experiencing all it has to offer.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
