Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example: Velyndra blinks, startled, "You've been expecting me? I can't say I know why..." She pauses; a puzzling expression comes upon her face. "I must admit, I have not a story to tell. I am just a traveler passing by this town, what could possibly be important enough to have you expecting me in such a manner...?" she murmurs, hand drifting toward her chin as her brow furrows. Velyndra closes her eyes, searching for anything in her life that may have led her here. Her hand still on her chin, she begins to speak, "My early years were shaped by solitude and various texts that I read to pursue knowledge. Being alone let me pursue knowledge without limitations, which then led to me traveling to places that are not marked on any map," she puts her hands to a resting position on her lap. "Though solitude made me graceful, something has always pulled me away from my home with an urge to travel the lands. Perhaps it is the further pursuit of knowledge?", she lets out a sigh, "Even I do not know yet." She looks up at the old woman with a curious expression, "Perhaps fate has brought us together for that reason, you were expecting me after all."
