Jacob was born in 1649, in Norland-- a once strong and proud, conquest-focused nation-- that, through a series of brutal wars, wound up a Kingdom in ruin and a shell of its former self. In the years following the destruction of Norland at the hands of Renatus-Marna, the people of the once noble country found themselves scattered and wandering, looking for new homes and work. Some ended up in the capital of their conquerors, Sennisten; others, like Jacob’s family, ended up moving around the from one to another of the smaller settlements found popping up all over Atlas. Due to hard times and the poor economy, Jacobs parents did not stay in any one place too long. Thusly, as he grew older and his family larger, Jacob began taking on odd-jobs to help provide additional income for his folks and siblings. Although his family was broke and his life difficult, Jacob maintained a positive outlook on life and a hopeful attitude for the future. Despite having no real education and few promising prospects for a trade, Jacob was generally content and tried to be a source of happiness for his family. Through these tough times, Jacob would often spend time with his siblings, joking around with them to keep their spirits high. He also began taking on the responsibility to cook for the family, so as to help out more-- compensating for his meager income, and giving his aging mother some sort of reprieve

It was through these endeavors that Jacob first realized that he had not only a knack for cheering people up with his wit and infectious charm, but that he also had a love for cooking and the joy a good meal can bring to others. As such, at the age of 16, Jacob decided to take-up the life of a cook for the local tavern; an often thankless job which offered him no renown or sizable income. What it did offer, however, was the opportunity to do several things at once which he loved: provide money (and leftover food) for his family, cook, drink and joke-about, converse with the locals, and of course, keep an eye out for that special lady that could someday be his wife! In the two years following his entry into the field of cooking, few things changed for Jacob. He was still without a wife and home of his own, and remained a very poor man with responsibilities to his family. He still spent his time split between work, being with his family, and getting drunk with his mates in the tavern. There was one thing, however, that had changed quite dramatically: despite being mostl

They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Well done applicant! I've had an absolutely amazing time reading your application and only few application manage to catch my interest by so much. Hopefully, you'll be able to encounter a lot of things that will further your character development. Anyway...

On the behalf of the Application team, I warmly welcome you to the Lord of The Craft community. I hope you the best of luck as you explore and roleplay on Atlas!

You’ll be whitelisted and implemented very shortly, you may also want to check out “ The New Player Discord ” for questions or dwell deeper into the wiki if times allow it.

While in game you can also use /atreq [message] for any assistance you might need from an Application Member or directly message me in game - /msg MadYeAd. Not to mention that /help is a very helpful command that should be utilized.
