Ronnard was born as the second son to an ambitious and aristocratic Orennian family in Kaedrin, his parents being Mordair and Louianne, and his older brother being Boreal. He would grow up with out near as much drive as his older brother, who was expected to bring the family name to a much higher prominence, and would largely be very carefree. At the age of six, Ronnard would have thrown into a river by some older bullies, and would have drowned if not for his older brother jumping in and saving him. Ronnard would refuse to learn how to swim as a result of this event, and would instead prefer to just sit idly by and let other people enjoy activities, even if he did want to join them. This would spark a growing behavior of laziness, which Ronnard would hold for the rest of his life. His life would go on to be somewhat boring in truth, as his education would prove to be mediocre at best, not that he paid much attention to his classes. His brother would tutor him in swordplay and hunting, Ronnard taking much more to the latter than the former. He would spend most of his time carousing out in town with the wrong crowd however, until tragedy struck his family within the past year, with his brother dying in the recent war against the Empire. Now having the expectation to take his brother’s mantle and bring the family to prominence, Ronnard has set out for Helena to make a name for himself.
Surprised to be greeted so suddenly by someone who appeared to be of higher status, potentially the gentry, Ronnard would instinctively put out his hand to shake the other man’s, opening his mouth to answer him afterwards. When he spoke, his voice would come out rather smoothly, speaking neither too slowly nor too quickly.
“Ronnard, m’lord, a pleasure to meet you. I’ve come to seek a few of those things actually, as I suppose my higher place in society comes with wealth, doesn’t it?”
Ronnard would smile to the man, letting out a chuckle at his own remark, as to ensure the man understood he was just being witty.
