Shael was born into the Demetriou family in Varis. As Axios Fell, Shael was separated from his family. He was only a child of ten, and was lost in the confusion. Unable to find his family in the masses, he escaped with a group of Seafarers, and considered them his family. His daily life consisted of sailing out with his Father like figure “Tenrt”, fishing till sundown, and then sailing back. The nights had little sleep as he was put to skinning and deboning the fish. He liked always loved to go out on the sea, but always felt safe on land. At age Fourteen he started to sell the fish at the market, earning a small sum at the end of every month. This was his first job, and he always had starry eyes when he received his sum. When he was selling fish, and sailing, he would always hum tunes he heard from the tavern that was in close proximity to the market, which always had its door open. He loved listening to the melodies and stories from the bards that passed through the tavern. He would sometimes tap his fingers on his legs as he fished, tapping them to the rhythm of a song a bard had sang. After years of selling fish at the market, he had taught himself how to sell the fish for better prices with the skill of bargaining, knowing that with this he could get or sell almost anything for a good price if he played his cards right. He was naturally taught sailing from years on the sea, which also applied to the skill of fishing.
As he approached the age of nineteen, he decided to start teaching himself how to play an instrument , and went to the local tavern to see if he could get a small crowd going as he played a harp and sang. Eventually at the age of twenty, he left home after saying goodbye to Tenrt and his crew, leaving to share his made up stories of knights, mages, and assassins. He continued to wander through the lands, gathering information about the lands. As he walked through the lands, he met many people, sharing his stories and music to them, or people at the residing tavern. He would stay up at night, writing and forming songs for his always changing audience. The audience would sometimes give him Mina depending on how well he preformed. This fueled his travels, allowing him to get another room after traveling. At points he would be hungry and cold, but he fought through it, wanting to give to the people who needed a story to keep their spirits up.
