    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming or power-emoting is when a player expresses and emote to another player that disallows them to respond to the action. An example would be if a character says "I take a swing at your leg with my sword and chop it off"

Zander, a Kaedrin highlander, was abandoned as a small child in the mountains not far from the ruins of Gaekrin, the once great Kaedrin empire. He quickly learned to adapt to the cold climate and soon became an experienced huntsman and gatherer.  Preferring to hike long distances and camp for a couple nights to rest, Zander likes to keep on the move and mobile. His goal is to adventure throughout all the lands of Atlas and see all the wonders it has in store as well as be the first to travel across the massive ice wall along the southern border. As an experienced archer and gatherer he makes money by employing his services to people he comes across. He has some experience in sword fighting but does not like to use it against others for greed or power. A man of goodwill, he helps anyone he can but does not like to travel in large groups. He would much rather prefer one to two close friends accompanying him in his travels.

Physical Description: A lone wanderer hailing from the Southern Mountains and snow.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Very solid application! You will be implemented into the server shortly. If you would like, I can get you in contact with the nation leaders of the human cities, (if you wish to settle in a capital, that is), and they can get you set up in their respective cities.
