With no remembrance of his parents and little memory of his past, Burin has never known any life outside of his work in the mines. The only memories that he does have of his beardling days are of being picked on, and that has strengthened a distrust that he has for other dwarves. Burin has always liked to be and work alone.
In the halls and mines of Kal'Tarak, Burin has learned how to expertly design and sculpt stone. Over the countless years that he has been at it, Burin has learned to see the sculpture in the stone before he carves it.
While spending all of his time mining and sculpting, Burin has developed a small sense of pride for all of his work, even though most of it is never seen by another dwarf. Even though he is excellent at shaping stone, he just hasn't figured out how to forge and shape metals even though he has tried to on multiple occasions.
