Neptune Moralis was born in a small village, somewhere in The Grand Kingdom Of Urguan fields. Her parents, Vivian and Moss Moralis, were a happy couple, that awaited a male first-born when Neptune came to the world. The first sounds Neptune ever heard? Probably shouting. "IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A BOY! WHAT IS THIS?!" "TAKE HER AWAY!!" Vivian was still in pain from the birth, but even more in pain from the lies she had been told. A male it wasn't. A male was supposed to be easy, carry on the Moralis legacy. But a female? All she would do is complain, all day, and what will she reach when she grows up? Probably failure. Failure is what females are set up to be in this world. Look at me! sitting here in a pregnancy room, screaming over the child I've lost, planning on staying all my days in the dark house. Vivian thought of this, and it made her want to throw up. When they sent Neptune out of the room, she did. Moss sat there, with a loss of words. The back of his mind was happy for a girl. But the love for his wife, the need to keep her happy... No. She should've been a boy. It was what was supposed to happen.
For the next week, Neptune was cared for in the small hospital, while her parents recovered. They finally took her home, to five years of parenting that you should never complain, always work hard for your success, and achieve what you think is achievable.
Finally, at age six, Neptune started to go to school. She worked, in school, and out of school, about reputation, grades, and always worried bringing her grades home, no matter the grade.
She finished school with As in everything but in dance, that she took as an extra class.... Which her parents didn't expect even a C. Throughout all that time, Neptune sang to her parents a few times, but they always denied her voice. They didn't like dreams they thought weren't achievable, and implanted that to her.
Once eighteen, Neptune used that freedom to run away to Norland. In a new, cold, place, she met new friends, achieved more than her parents would've thought, and is now living, happy, as a chill nineteen year old.
I am slightly surprised as the man approaches me. While listening to his question, I try to act out his life in my head. What does HE do for a living? What bring HIM here? But without questioning the innocent question, I respond politely: "I came here to start a new life. This place looks truly awesome, and I am so excited to explore. Not to gain money or to elevate to some place else than where I am standing, but I want to walk freely, start a new adventure, and break free." I conclude my sentence with a soft smile, fixing my pants that have seemed to loosen.
