    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when a player uses information in character that their character would not know. For example, if I know that I am about to be ambushed because of something I saw in ooc chat, I am not allowed to react in character because my character knows nothing of it.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power gaming is when you do an in character action that does not give anybody else a chance to react or stop it. For example, "I punch you in the face knocking you out" the correct way to do that would be "I attempt to punch you in the face"
