Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"A few years ago I was happy, I guess. My parents seemed happy enough and everything went well. Then they died. I just. . .don't want to end up like them, sure I'll die too at some point I suppose, but. . .Their lives amounted to nothing. Nobody cared that much they were gone, perhaps a little, but they just didn't really matter for anything. There is nothing left of them. Except me and probably my older sister, though I haven't seen her since even awhile before my parents died. Anyway, I'm not sure what I'll do now. But. . .I want to change something, amount to something. I want people to look back and say 'Verias? He helped. He made a difference' " Verias's face frowned and he dropped into silence, his eyes lost imagining a scene only he could see.
