Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

A tall and slender wood elf woman with a boyish face takes a seat on the cushion, sitting up right and politely. "I wouldn't call it much of a story," she says, closing her eyes in reflection. "I simply live to travel and observe nature." As she speaks, she gazes around at the swampish town, marveling at the run down, ragged town.  "Many years ago, I had a falling out with my family in Vectra. I was pressured to spend the rest of my time living with them in that forest, in order to continue my families heritage in the forest." She releases and exhale, a mixture of relief and longing expressed along with it. "While I miss my home and my family, I cannot suppress the urge to see more of the world around me, outside of Vectra." She takes another awkward pause, considering her words carefully. "I've come to pass through this town on my travels, I am coming from the south to-" She pauses, reconsidering her words. "I would consider settling somewhere, but I may give myself another 50 years to travel and observe the different parts of the world as The Mother has displayed it." She pauses, parsing her memory to find more to talk about, before gazing up at the sky and noticing the sun beginning to set. "Ah, I must get going, it is becoming late and there is much more to see today." She stands up, dusting herself off before turning to embark on her pilgrimage once more. "Thank you for the brief respite, miss. I bid you farewell." She then elegantly steps away, setting off to the north to continue her journey.
