You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Well, ma'am..." Freyja begins. "I'm from a far away grove, one beautiful and colorful. I lived there as a child, just getting to know the world. Well... When I reached adulthood, I fell in love with a human. My grove didn't approve of my love. So I was banished from my home... I set course for the village that my dear love was from," she continued. "A couple years went by. A war broke out. They called upon my love to fight in battle, and being quite resourceful with healing, I went with." The wood elf began to tear up. "It was only 5 weeks in, when I saw my love being shot through the heart... I rushed over to him, but he was dead before he hit the ground... I've... Been a lot more reserved since then. Living on my own in a hollowed out tree, making the best of what I had at the time... I haven't lived in a village since then. I decided that bad things happen to me when I lived in a village or kingdom." She finished.
