Ugrug was born a single child in one of the many small nameless family villages surrounding the orcish city of San'Azgak. His parents were descended from Clan Lur’s Wolf Bloodline, and initiated Ugrug in its ways. He quickly bonded with the animals he was taught to tame and his fellow young orcs inside the village, and he made a friend named Gru’lo whose soul seemed to be intertwined with his own, and so they declared each other brothers. Seeing as he was born of the The Wolf Bloodline, he learnt to hunt, ride and battle growing up. The settlement he was born in had a terrible reputation however: it was cursed. Horrible events occurred there, and one day he was training with Gru’lo and his beasts and lost control of one of them, who pounced on Gru’lo, grabbed him by the neck and sped off into the wilderness with him before he could stop the beast. Ugrug never found Gru’lo again and assumes his death, yet he still loved his beasts, and vowed never again to lose control of one of them. Ugrug eventually came of age and discovered his passion for exploration, and began chafing against the restrictions his parents had placed on him, such as how far he could explore around the village. There came a cursed night when Ugrug returned from exploring deep in the woods and found his childhood home and settlement burning, in a fire that could not have been the work of fellow orcs or, perhaps even, living beings. Ugrug tried to save his village, and all the people inside of it, but his friends and family were all lost to the flames. That night Ugrug cursed the spirits that had killed his family, and knew that he had to leave and find new land to explore and avoid the spirits at all costs, in the hopes that they would not realise that one of the settlement’s inhabitants had survived the fire.
