You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Uh... Story? Story..." I ponder, sitting down on the cushion she gestured at. "I don't know- regular life stuff? I came here to get food, I've been exploring for a while... And also- why have you been expecting me? How have you been expecting me? I've never seen you in my life!" I exclaim, gesturing towards her and her weird spooky floating candles. "You're creepy." I state, watching her reaction carefully. She didn't seem to have one. I sigh deeply. "Great conversation. Fine, I'll explain my life story to a random lady. I'm an adventurer, simple as that. Been exploring my entire life, never been able to settle down." I shrug. "Happy?"

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I avoid powergaming by making my character act fairly towards others, and not preform unrealistic actions.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts fair roleplay because it gives the person who metagames an unfair advantage, because then their character knows stuff that the person playing the character does, even if their character shouldn't know this.
