    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming uses the knowledge you (the player) know of the world and not your character's knowledge of the world.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is not allowing a defense or a counter to your attack. making your character god-like or immortal also fits.

Zhack would respond " I've come here to ready my supplies and get ready to move along, also do you know where I might find a blacksmith of some kind and the tavern to this city so that I may stay the night?". Zhack during the conversation would look around the bazaar, not moving, but observing and wonder about the culture and what the type of food they sell. he'd be fascinated by the amount of people and stalls coming from a small town.
