You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
This wasn't a normal occurrence for the elegant woman, she disliked the humid air, swampy atmosphere, and especially how dull the whole town came off to be. She was sure it wasn't as bad as it probably looked, but the idea of being in such scenery made her skin crawl and an uncomfortable shiver run down her back. She had been running from some knights that were after her and her brother, though she hadn't seen them for a while now... so perhaps she shook them off her tail while entering the area. Ducking into an overcast building.. that was more of a tent than anything else, she came face to face with an elderly woman.
Elaine flinched a little at her more... unsightly... appearance before putting her hands up in a slightly defensive position. Her more pure and collected facade would slip onto her expression as she gave off a light hearted smile. One that hopefully read she wasn't a threat to the hag. But as the older woman spoke she gently put her hands down. Curious as to how such an individual knows about her.. perhaps she's seen her brother as well. Having lost him within the commotion of escaping earlier within the day. Taking a cautious seat on the cushion, the elegant noble would run a tired hand through her hair, pushing it to the side, her golden earrings and piercing icy eyes glimmered from the candle light.
"Well, if you do know me.. you know I've lost my brother. Asmond. That prick gets lost far too often for my liking.. you haven't seen him have you? He's about my height with the same attractive and gorgeous face."
She described her younger brother, he looked quite similar to how she did, although his skin was a little tanner and had darker brown hair. Other than that, the two were completely the same. She would place her porcelain hand against her cheek, a face of- almost -noticeably fake sorrow.
"I lost him after running from those scoundrel knights... y'know, beheading a lord and lady for telling the 'truth' just because you don't like it, says a lot about your kingdom..~"
Her tone was playful, clearly the two of them had manipulated a kingdom and started something... less than noble within their royal ranks. Forging fake notes and items, slipping them into places where they would definitely be found by the wrong people. It was a tough job... she's put her hand back into her lap.
"Taking down a kingdom from the inside out is a demanding hobby, wouldn't you say~?"
