    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I avoid power gaming in role-play by sticking to what is realistic to my character also to alter my phrasing as "attempts".
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts fair role-play because it is no longer role-play if you are given information out of character and then try to utilize or share that information.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Example: "Hello! My name is Mistrien and I came from Elvenesse!" I blurted out excitedly. My green eyes glistened and I scooted closer to the old hag. I smell the rotted wood and wet moss and thought of my secret hiding spot at home. "You have been expecting me?" I timidly asked this time biting my lip. The old lady hands me a cup of something and encourages me to take a sip. I hold up the mug to my lips and drink it with no hesitation. "I'm setting out to find my brother who I was separated from."
