How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Do not force any actions on another person, like cutting someones head off. Instead let them try to defend themselves by countering on actiona with another. So for example you may try to swing youre sword towards the head of the opponent, but by emoting to swing, he cant take an action to counter the attack. Also any unrealistic feats and normally not possible actions can be considered powergaming, like being inhumanly strong.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: By using information that would not be available to youre character in rp, like knowing the history of the entire last 100 year, even though you are only 20 years old and from poor descent, can disrupt fair roleplay as it is information obtained mostly from wiki pages and the forums, but that in rp would not have been available to youre character. Also messaging players sudden information, like „there is an enemy on the roads, watch out“ is disrupting fair roleplay, as it ruins the rp emersion.
