    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Stepping out of the bounds and limitations of your character. Giving them unrealistic characteristics and making them do unrealistic things that don't coincide with what you're character is meant to be capable of.

Pudding slowly wobbles off the ship gradually getting her land legs back and standing upright, gaping at the surrounding area and the mass of different people and races collected together. As the well-dressed man greets and questions her Pudding smilies broadly, grabbing the gentlemen's hand and shaking it excitingly. "Hullo! Lovely to meet you! I really want to find out more, see if what they said in the books was true! I want adventure to meet new people, taste new foods and of course read new books!" Realising she was perhaps overstepping the gentlemen's boundaries she quickly stepped back and blushed nervously scratching the back of her head, "S-sorry, Grandmother always said I wasn't the best at gaging people boundaries, hope I didn't overstep sir!"
