Pudding Banks was born to two loving parents who named her after their favourite meal, pudding. They raised her to be kind and forgiving and to always smile and stay positive in times of hardship. Her father and mother worked as fishermen and fieldworkers, working hard for their food and home in Dunshire. While her parents worked Pudding's Grandmother Iris acted as her teacher and friend, learning her about the world and letting her form a more open and curious mind compared to the other citizens in Dunshire. Pudding became inquisitive and fascinated by the world outside of the small village (since the village itself was so isolated and closed off) and the other races that resided in Atlas, and even other realms in Aegis, which she had never had a chance to meet. Her curiosity for other races and the world was unusual for a young Halfling, particularly one who lived in Dunshire and as a result she was viewed as odd and picked on by her peers who took advantage of her trusting nature. As a result Pudding had few friends and spent most of her time either reading under the Dunshire Melon Tree with her Grandmother or helping her Mother and Father in the southern fields, tending to the crops and such. She dreamed of adventuring beyond the borders of Dunshire, experiencing new cultures, meeting new races, trying new foods and reading new books. How she dreamed of one day visiting The Grand Library in the Cloud temple grounds, the wealth of knowledge from all over Aegis that it held filled Pudding with so much excitement. She was thankful for her peaceful life but a part of her, like her Grandmother, always wished for adventure. She had read countless books about adventures and dragons, some real and others not, though the books that spoke of Faldo Featherfoot and Tibb Fairfield’s adventures remained her favourite as she dreamed of having such adventure as they did dragons and all. While her life remained peaceful and fairly pleasant as she read and grew older, that soon changed when her grandmother passed. Pudding’s only true friend and inspiration had died and she was heartbroken. However in Iris’s will she left Pudding a small fortune and letter instructing her to make her dreams reality, to explore the world, meet new people, and see what she has only ever read about in books, to find true friends and to keep on smiling through it all even if she was no longer their to guide her. Pudding took her Grandmothers words to heart and on her 33rd birthday (when she reached maturity) she hugged her parents goodbye and set off into he world as her Grandmother had wished.
