You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

I take a small canteen out of my pocket and have a swig. "I have been traveling alone for 3 weeks." I say. Plopping onto the cushion, I recall to her the tale of my recent acceptance to a far off school of Judgmental Wizardry. "I have beens studying nonstop for most my life to become a Judgment Specialist." The old hag responds with a raised eyebrow, questioning me. Speaking quickly, as I do when I get excited, I continue, "Judgment Specialists are magic and magic weapon users who focus on Karmic and Omen magic. They are fearsome in battle, and look awesome. I hoped to be one, as my father was, and his father, going on all the way back to my great grandfather's great-grandfather. he must have humble beginnings, you may think, but that is wrong. I was raised in a castle by my family, and taught to be an expert combatant. I will fulfill my family's legacy forever more." The old hag responds: "what about YOU? Who are YOU?" This gives me pause for a moment. And I finally realize, I don't know. Now my quest has become more than just training for magic. I will find where I belong once and for all.
