    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Doing things out of character, usually by referring to real-life knowledge that your character would not have.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Playing against the flaws and facets of roleplay and characters by making your character too powerful and illogical.

I look him up and down to discern if he means any harm. When I have found that he does not, I reply “I do not know, for I go where the wind takes me. I seek the greatest lore-masters of the land, and heard that there may be some here in this very city. Do you know of them?” When he replies, depending on his answer, I go one way or the other. If he does not know, I got into the bazaar, and start looking around. If he does, I go where he tells me.
