You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example: The large orc hesitantly sits next to the hag, taking a deep whiff of the ambient air. He raises his head "not much of a story yet ma'am, just an olog makin my way." he scratches the back of his scalp "lookin to make my story I figure."

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I tend to frame my actions as suggestion that leave the other open to accept or deny if the action works.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: it allows an unfair level of planning by using information that your character wouldnt have. it just ruins immersion.
