Grom Hammerhand hails from a small, underground city, connected to one of the larger holds in the mountains of (one of the previous worlds, not sure which one I'd be allowed to insert this into).
Grom has been a blacksmith all of his life, as his father was before him. His hardworking attitude and love of the craft tends to ensure that a lot of work gets done inside his smithy.
He is an avid reader and will go to great lengths to secure new tales and books for his collection and whatever libraries the Dwarves hold.

She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
