     Joe Farmer grew up in Haense. He and his grandmother lived in a one-room house together. His grandmother did everything for him. He was spoiled rotten. She died when he was 25. He had no idea how to survive on his own. When looking for jobs, he couldn’t but want to become a farmer. He hasn’t had any luck yet considering he doesn’t have any real form of education.

     When Joe was 12, he fell in love with his neighbor’s daughter. She was 20 at the time. She moved away and began her own life soon after. He doesn’t believe that any girl could possibly live up to his first love.
