Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"Oh, I just, uh…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until… You feel the ground around you screaming at you to run. You eye the crone through the slit in tent. Her eye sparkles and tells you all you need to know. Your brother now stands in the place of crone. "Now sister is that anyway to greet your brother?" he responds with the darkness creeping around him stretching toward you. You scoff "Well speaking that last time I saw you, you killed our parents and siblings I'd say I wont be having a family reunion." Something strange happens as if nature senses the danger and is trying to save you Veins wrap slowly around your brother without him noticing and vines trapping him temporary. You hear him yell about 'this isn't over.' You sprint into the forest. Animals running alongside with you showing you the way. A moose stops you in your tracks and bends its body as permission to ride it. You dont take time to think about it and hop on. The air whips around you as you move through the forest. You ride for hours and finally stop in front of a small opening of a rock, a cave. The moose wanders off as if it didn't even care to save your life. You make home of the cave and curl into your sleeping sack not daring to make a fire. You realize you need to make a plan and find others to help you kill your brother before he kills the land, the people, and you. You get some rest planning to set out tomorrow to get help.
