    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: The way that I would avoid powergaming would be to embrace the character that I have created and also the lore of the server. Allowing for my characters strengths and weaknesses to be experienced throughout the gameplay. Not allowing my personal self and wants get in the way of the fictional character that I have created.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts fair roleplay in that it kills the immersion of the roleplay itself. It also causes unfairness if using to your advantage. The most important thing is to stay in your characters mindset and engage through your character to find information fairly and naturally. I also think a big part is to allow for uncertainty as this is normal.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Erevan: "Greetings, I am sure if you have been expecting me than you may already know much about me as well." I stay vigilant as I speak and gaze upon the inside of the tent to try and gather my surroundings while still keeping the hag in my eyesight. I slowly back away towards the entrance of the tent and try to allow a clear mind as I attempt to invoke the Void. My hands shake slightly out of anxiety.
