Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

The pale, pretty elf with long white hair sat across from the hag’s crooked table, folding her hands as the fire crackled between them.
She lifted her chin and said, “Most of my people were hunted down for our resources, and I barely escaped with my life.”
As she spoke, she brushed her hair back and stared into the flames, remembering the screams and silence that followed.
“I grieved for a long time,” she continued softly, “but I am done living only in sorrow.”
She rose to her feet and took a step forward, her voice steadier now, saying, “I want to start a new life and use what I am to help others.”
The hag watched closely as the elf bowed her head, the decision clear in both her words and her actions.
