Link hesitates for a moment, then slowly steps forward, pulling the chair out before sitting down carefully. He glances around the dim shack, his eyes lingering on the floating candles before returning to the old woman.
“I come from the High Kingdom of Idunia,” he says quietly, resting his hands on his knees. “Or… at least, I used to. I’ve been traveling for a while now.” He shifts slightly in his seat, his expression tightening. “Things changed back there. It didn’t feel like home anymore.”
He exhales softly and looks back at her, more focused now. “I’m not just wandering without reason. I want to understand what’s happening to this world… and find where I belong in it.” He leans forward a little, studying her in return. “If you were expecting me, then maybe you already know that.”
