Ruhn was born in a small Elven village to Bryq Sr. (father) and Pesh (mother) under the name Bryq Jr. When he was 10 his entire village was ransacked overnight and his people being massacred for their precious resources. When the aggressors came into his house, his parents sacrificed themselves to protect him, with his father's dying words being a single word "Run". As he ran, he made a prayer to anyone that might be listening to help, without really expecting anyone to answer. The fires of his village burned his skin and took his eyes from him, but his prayers were heard by Tahariae, who looked upon him and helped him find his way. He made his way to the nearby city of Caurost where he was taken in by a blacksmith named Othur Korlynn. When asked what his name was, he could only hear the final words of his father echoing in his head, so he said his name was Ruhn. And even though he was very weak, Buboc recognized his potential and gave him a magical hammer that would allow him to craft anyway. He spent the next 8 years training under Buboc in his base of operations until Ruhn was ready to go out into the world. He would spend his days trying to uphold Tahariae's Justice wherever he went, helping people hold on to hope wherever he went.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

"Thank you." Ruhn slowly said, hesitant but ready to listen, as he reaches into his bag and offers her a piece of the bread he carries with him. "The place any of us come from does not truly matter does it? Only what we carry with us and where we seek to go now. As for what I hope to make of myself, is simply a kind person, for that is why I do anything I do." He says this strongly, and watches them closely, hoping for a hint of their nature, and ready to offer aid or reach for his hammer as needed.
