How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: metagaming is for example when a player reads about magic and creates their character already knowing what magic is , another example when the player receives a message from a friend who is being attacked and asking for help , and the player makes his character cross the map to help the friend but the character doesn't know about the attack but the player does
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: powergaming is when the player uses more or less god powers and decides if their actions work for example.
