    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: i avoid power gaming by thinking to myself what my character FEASABLY can do that's within reason and is realistic like for example if i am a,mbushed in a armory is realistic for me to go that i pick up a nearby sword to defend myself vs how lets say the exacts am situation happened in a desert. it won't be realistic for me to just kick a few pieces of sand over and suddenly "look I found a whole set of arms and armor just below where I was standing". another thing is that say you were sent off to get something you have to keep in mind how long it would take so say you needed to fetch something for your lord you would ehadout and realistically it would take a few minutes then you can head back don't just stay in one spot and say "i have your item my lord"
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: it gives rpers a unfair advantage as they are learning things outside of the rp that their character WOULDNT know so it could end up in a situation where a brand new person suddenly knows who every member of a gang is and just start stalking them to claim a arrest despite the target not having done anything to gain the suspicion and just end up ruining their moments because the person isnt allowed to talk to anyone without someone potentially ruining the rp for them as tehy ahvnt even done anything tow arrent the stalking.

Roleplay Scenario:

 

 

 

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

((How do you respond?)) 
*Amira jumps in Suprise at hearing the old women speak as she wasn't really expecting anyone to be in here before coughing slightly to regain her composure before speaking again* "oh uh sorry didn't see you their.... *She looks confused for a moment at the women knowing about her despite just walking into town and walks up and sits down but keeping her guard up for the moment just to be safe. *"Well them ma'am I suppose it... couldn't hurt to have a talk I suppose... after all it does give me quite the time to rest my legs, I suppose huh?" *Giving out a small chuckle she starts to talk to the old woman about her story starting with a event that stuck to her even today* "You see when I was a Teen, I always enjoyed exploring the caves near my family's home and everyone and awhile i would keep on going deeper and deeper into the caves until one day.... *She catches her breath and lets out a sigh the memory still hurting a bit* "I went too deep....i was lost and scared... but suddenly it was like i was in a large box... and I was hearing whispering.... suddenly it was like something was seizing my limbs and I felt freezing. i fought as i could just barely breaking away as i fled... when i looked behind me it was like i was seeing some black shadow... as i fled i kept seeing it reach for me... grab for me....it was scary and although i managed to escape my experience with that thing and the effects of the attacks caused weird coloration in my eyes and hair....im worried something else might have changed but I'm a bit scared to see what else it might have changed...." *She catches herself looking up at the sky above her and adjusts the sword at her hip before standing up smiling at the woman... I'm sorry for droning on madam... i thank you for listening to me... never realized how much i needed someone to listen i guess..." *she gives a small laugh to herself before continuing* "but i believe thats enough about me how rude i must have been i barely know anything about you please tell me about yourself.... afetr all its only fair i learn of you as well... and of how is it you knew who i was when i walked in?"
