    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using out of character knowledge in character
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Being unrealistic and ignoring their characters defects and traits in RP. A good sample of power gaming would be a old lady slaying a dragon.

The sea breeze blows on your and you smell the scent of fish. You got off and stared at the impressive sight of the city.  You took a few seconds to think and replied to the man “Just a lone traveler passing through” . You paused for a few seconds and asked the man “do you know where the closest tavern is?”

Physical Description: A young man of average height but has a very strong and athletic build. He has black eyes and raven hair. Very good looking and charming face.

Unfortunately, your application has been denied because it had too many errors. Here is some feedback on the aforementioned errors: 

 

  •  Your Metagaming and Powergaming Definitions are on the right track, though they’re not quite there. Take another look at our Wiki’s definitions for help, and I recommend including examples so I can tell you fully understand.

  • Your Character Biography is missing some lore references! Please remember to include at least two! There are many things you can reference including but not limited to existing settlements, wars, and religions. Here are some links that may help you find some!

  • Your Character Biography is a bit short; please include at least 10 sentences. If you don’t know what to add, I recommend thinking more about your character’s backstory. Here are some questions you can ask yourself: where are they from? What was their family like? In what situation did they grow up? How did they get where they are today?

  • Your Character Biography states that your character learned how to fight and craft armor/swords. This is not possible; all such feats must solely be achieved through active roleplay on the server. Please fix accordingly.

  • Your Personality Traits/Quirks must include at least one noticeably negative trait that will strongly impact your character’s way of life. Anything that can be considered a fault in their personality is acceptable.

  • Your Skin is not up to LotC’s standards. Please take a look at our Skin Archive for references and free skins that you may use if you can’t find anything better.

  • Your Skin does not match your physical description. Please find one that matches. Alternatively, you may correct your physical description so it matches the skin you use.
  • Your Roleplay Scenario Response is too short. It must be at least four sentences long and include at least one dialogue and one action. 
  • Please fix all grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors in your application; I am having a difficult time understanding parts of it. I recommend using a free grammar checker such as Grammarly.
