In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: I can avoid powergaming in roleplay by focusing on collaboration rather than control let your character experience limitations, weaknesses, and failures instead of forcing outcomes. Respect other players’ agency by not dictating their reactions or actions, and keep your character’s abilities grounded in the setting’s rules. Staying flexible, communicating with other players, and prioritizing story over winning helps maintain fair, engaging roleplay for everyone.
In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts fair roleplay by breaking the boundary between player knowledge and character knowledge, allowing players to use information their characters shouldn’t realistically have. This undermines immersion, creates unfair advantages, and can damage the story’s integrity, leading to frustration among other players who rely on authentic, in-character decisions.

"Oh, I just, uh…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…
