    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using real-life knowledge in a role-playing game to determine a characters actions, in a situation where the character in question would have not share this knowledge, making the action unrealistic and out of character.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: As a character in a role-playing game, acting unrealistically or in a way that is overpowered, world-breaking, invincible, or makes the experience unfair and unpleasant for other players involved.

Kethael takes in his surroundings in suspicion, unsure of what awaits him in this new land. He notes any shops of use to him, and dismisses those that seem unfamiliar. He ensures that all of his things are in order, and looks the man before him up and down. After coming to the safe conclusion that the ill-dressed man has good intentions, Kethael begins by asking, quizzically, “Who are you?”, followed by “Is there an inn nearby?”.
