You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

As I take a seat on the cushion, I can't help but feel a sense of unease at the old hag's words. How could she have been expecting me? Nevertheless, I begin to recount my journey thus far, hoping that she may have some insight into the strange events that have been plaguing me. As I speak, I notice her eyes glinting in the candlelight, and I wonder what secrets she may hold. The swampy town suddenly seems a lot less dreary, and I can't shake the feeling that my encounter with the old hag may hold the key to my quest.
