    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: I try and reframe the situation into something more realistic
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It gives an unfair advantage to the character sharing the information they shouldnt know.

Character Race: Human
Character Gender: Female
Character Age: 22
Physical Description: 5'6. 125 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes, and wears fairy-like attire.
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

((How do you respond?))

 

I hesitate, the damp air clinging to my lungs, then lower myself on to the cushion. "If youve truly been expecting me" I say quietly while I gaze into the flickering candals, "then you already know I didn't come here by choice"
