    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I think of it from improv rules, the established world and rules that govern it may be different than our own but at the end of the day, we are all here to have fun and accommodate each other. Ways to avoid this are a yes and mentality, once I acquaint myself with the mechanics realize what is actually possible, and keep the perspective that while inspired by DnD, this isn't DnD, I am not the main character but simply another PC in a sea of many and I am not being catered to.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Destroys immersion and creates a hostile environment for roleplay.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

You belch a hearty burp with a pungent stench of mead and beer filling the tent. You begin to slur a sentence together resembling the word "Searching". "I am searching for something, the strongest brew". Through the drunken guise you study the crone's reaction, looking for any hint of the knowledge you seek. For you are searching for the recipe for the strongest brew imaginable so your name may be recorded forever in dwarven history.

  • Please make sure to include at least six sentences! If you’re stumped on what to add. I recommend saying where you are from, how was it growing up? Maybe talk about your parents? Ect.

  • Please remember to include backstory in the Back story & Roleplay Scenario! Even if your persona doesn’t talk about it

  • When talking about your character’s actions! Remember to use 3rd person!
