    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using out of character knowledge about an in character matter in character

Jacques looks about, not paying attention to the man, getting his bearing of his new city. He eventually notices the man standing in front of him, “Oh hello. I didn’t notice you there. I guess you could say adventure. I’m just a wanderer. Going wherever life takes me you could say. Where am I anyways? What is the name of this city?” After being told the name of the city in which he currently is in he would head to the local tavern to take a load off. He’d get a drink or two, maybe get in a brawl fight before hitting the hay. He would stay as long as he wanted or until the next boat out of the city arrived upon which he could stow away for a free ride.

You will have 24 hours to make the following changes to your application. Please message me here on the forums, or through my discord [TwistedFries#1055] once you have made the changes, and I’ll take another look at your application.
 

  • I’d recommend re-reading the definitions of both Meta-gaming and Power-gaming. Both of your definitions seem to be quite vague so, make sure to apply your knowledge more efficiently and try to add some examples that could be representing each. 
  • Your Character Biography appears to have a wonderful story-line, however, it includes a lore piece that is outdated: ‘He eventually made it to a freezing realm the locals called Skjoldier’ So I would recommend you to remove this piece. 
  • Your Character’s Physical Description must be at least 5 complete sentences.
  • Your Character’s Skin does not seem to have the proper racial features so, I would recommend you to check out the LotC Wiki page on Human’s and try to best reference your skin on that. If you need further assistance, we have the LotC Skin Archive for inspiration, etc.
