    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: A character that has access to knowledge they otherwise wouldn't through external not-in character means.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: A character that has unfair abilities or advantages over others. This can be powers, combat skills or anything deemed unfair / god-like.

You look around you, then back at the man, "I've come for adventure, Sir."  You speak quietly.  "Well, good luck! If you need help, ask anyone, and they will be more than happy to help."  The man smiles, watching you walk off into the bazaar.  As you head  into the city, and you quietly marvel at your surroundings.  The wall was probably the most fascinating aspect of the city to you.  You decide to head to the stalls to grab a drink, as your feeling quite parched from your journey.  As you walk up the the stall you saw drinks at, you quietly speak to the stall-tender, ordering an herbal tea.  "You new to these parts, young one?" You startle at the deep voice of the bartender, but nod your head as you pay, "Yes sir, I've just come into the city about half an hour ago." You reply, sipping on your tea.  "Ah, well, welcome to the city of adventures, Good luck on your journey, and have fun."  The tender waves as you walk away, into a new adventure.

Ø Your biography lacked two sufficient lore references (Settlement names, creature names (creatures that are unique to LOTC not your generic dragon or trolls), other major events that are explained in depth), however races, nations names and vaguely conveyed facts are not sufficient lore reasons. Make sure these match up with your age and the current server year of 1806 (Year 10 of the Second Age). Some places you can look for references are, you can also PM on disc and I can help find more than the listed here:

  • Aegrothond

  • Almenodrim

  • Siramenor  (This is a dissolved Wood-Elven vassal of Elvenesse, but your persona can originate from here)

  • Elven Sub-Forum (You can find events here that are part of LOTC and contains a alot of info when you click into the post)

  • Dominion of Malin (Do know in order to use anything from Dominion, besides events such as things you were present at your age is required to match up, as the dominion was dissolved over 90+ years ago).

  • Gladewynn (Likewise, when researching Gladeywnn ensure you age matches up with the timeline).

  • Wood Elves


Ø Be aware culturally and sometimes mentally elves are not considered adults until they reach 50 years of age
