Sandro breathed his first air in his loving family's home near a fast flowing river. They were moderately rich as his father would search for small gold nuggets in the river which frequently flowed through it. His life however wasn't designed to be this peaceful forever and at the age of 9 his home was looted and pillaged by Orcs from the South. He was forced to watch his each of his family members be brutally killed.
His life after consisted of him being trained to be one of the I's. 10 humans taken from different pillaging raids forced to be trained in the arts of killing, slowly being turned into the deadliest assassins in the known world. Sandro was given the position IX. The Orcs had ambitions of mass destruction and used as much force as they did diplomacy. The diplomacy would always end up in having either of the 10 Assassins slay the leading Duke/Lord/King and silently turn the settlement into a bloodbath with no one knowing.
One of those said settlement leaders was the Duchess Finmyie who had studied the arts of necromancy greatly. It was with the use of death magic she was able to save her life from the 10, summoning dead versions of themselves by the 100s to ultimately kill them. IX was the first to fall as he sacrificed himself in a last attempt to hold off all of the dead to allow the others to escape. Finmyie noted IX's bravery and resurrected him with intent on making him her leading inquisitor to find out who had sent these assassins after her.
Through the forceful training with the Orcs, IX forgot who he was before he was captured by them but with the resurrection he remembered everything. Retitling himself with his birthname Sandro, his appearance changed drastically. When he was killed not much was left other than his skeleton corpse. Finmyie had to resort in other ways to make Sandro useful and she did by re-kindling his old assassin skills through necromancy. But Sandro didn't want to serve another master, at a time when Finmyie least expected, he slew her and fully erased every ash of her previous being from the world. Although with he gone, so did the skills she used to make Sandro useful to her.
Now he is free but at what cost? This world is not a good one. But if he can control and decide who lives and doesn't, he can ensure the good stay and the evil stay dead forever. Perhaps Finmyie's magic should be studied.
