Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example: “Kepak has walked many dark paths, old crone,” he says, “He has crossed lands unknown, battled creatures of nightmare, and delved into forbidden lore. His purpose? To harness power beyond mortal understanding, to shape the world as he sees fit. Kepak has no interest in mercy or kindness, only in what is owed to him.” He cracks his neck, shoulders broad and scarred. He says, “Kepak want power. Old kind. Deep kind. Not for sharing.” He pokes his finger into the old lady. “You know things. Magic things. Kepak hear things” He snorts, and looks deep into the old hags eyes. “Tell Kepak what he wants.. or kepak will take it."
