You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Kira O'Moore shifts uncomfortably on the cushion, gently brushing some hair away from her face. her voice cracks slightly as she struggles to speak.
"I mean you no trouble ma'am, and I thank you for your uh, hospitality. I am not sure how you know me but perhaps your are a friend of my fathers? not that it matters much anymore..."
Kira looks down at her hands for a moment and pauses, wringing them in her apron.
"He died you see, and with him gone there was no reason for me to stay where I was. I need work, a girl has to eat of course! so I figured I would come this way, and see if there was some good land. I know my way around a garden and I'm a really good cook, so i figured if i could find myself a little plot of land off the road somewhere I could start an inn and give rest and respite to other who are... searching for where they belong I suppose"
Kira shifts again, making a mental note to not have cushions like this in her inn as they are making her foot fall asleep as she sits, looking up at the old woman more confidently this time.
"Any chance you have a lead on some land for sale?" Kira says with a smile
