    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming can be avoided by focusing on one's character and abilities, rather than trying to behave perfectly and instead blending in naturally.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming destroys role-playing games because players lose focus on their own character, try to become as good as possible, and thus take away the fun for everyone.

Physical Description: Brown Hair.
Dark Eyes.
Mostly silent.
Explorer and adventurer from the Kingdom of the Nordland on a mission in the south.
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

 

I lower my hood and sit down across from her, the damp scent of the swamp still clinging to my cloak.

“I come from the North,” I say quietly. “The road here was long, and I was told someone in this town might have answers. If you were truly expecting me… then perhaps you already know why I came.”

Hi there! Your application has been put on pending as there are changes that need to be made before you can be accepted. See below. 
 

  • Please make sure to include at least six sentences in your roleplay scenario! If you’re stumped on what to add. I recommend saying where you are from, how was it growing up? Maybe talk about your parents? Etc.
  • Please change your character’s actions to 3rd person. Example: Judy stomps her foot on the ground. “How dare you!” she screams.
 

If you do not make these changes within 48 hours,  you will be denied. When you are finished, please message me on Discord @trxvisty to let me know, or if you don’t have Discord, send me a forum message, and please do ask if you have any questions.
