    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is a form of roleplay where the player controlling the in game character may know about certain topics and current events that may be happening, but the player he is controlling wouldn't know about it. (Im not sure if its allowed or not, kinda confused on that part lol)
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is forcing the story and events that happen to the player's will. For example. Lets say one player "minecraftpro34" decided he wanted to steal from "johnthegamer42". If minecraftpro was powergaming, he would emote "minecraftpro stole john's sword" instead of "minecraftpro attempted to steal john's sword" In which events may unfold such as a battle, failed theft, or successful theft.

At the age of ten, Nithron's home city was attacked by orcs. They pillaged his town, killed his family and burned the city to the ground. He personally watched as his parents and sister were killed by the commander of the horde. He barely escaped with his life, and as he kid amongst the rubble, a group of rangers picked him up and brought them with him. For years he had a hatred for those foul creatures who had taken everything from them, his hatred had pushed him through the tough times as he was mentored by the rangers. After many years, he acquired many skills in fencing, archery, and foraging. He learned to adapt to his soundings and fought many in his way. He pushed through loss and death for decades as he came closer and closer to his end goal, to kill the commander of the orcs that had killed his family. Enduring hardships and turmoil, he eventually met his end goal and fought off the forces of evil all his life until the end of his life. That is his story, a story of valor, hardship, and revenge.

Physical Description: He is dark haired, blue eyed, 6'1, built (strength wise), 180 lbs, and wears lether attire with a hooded cloak with boots
Roleplay Scenario:

A young aspiring Nithron looked at the man who had just approached him and asked "why do you ask?" the man replied "I was wondering if you wanter to have a share in a little, adventure." he pondered for a moment, he thought about his past; his sister, his parents, his home. "I guess I am looking for an adventure" he replied. And thus began his journey

 

Lol I have never done any of this before so not sure if that was good or not, be sure to let me know what I need to do or any concerns you may have.

Your application has unfortunately been denied at this time due to reason, though here are the changes that would need to be made: 

  • Your Character Biography is missing some lore references! Please remember to include at least two! These can be major events, wars, religion, etc. Here are some links that may help you find some!
  • Your Character Biography is a bit short. Please include at least 10 sentences. If you don’t know what to add, I recommend thinking more about your character’s backstory! Think about where they're from, what their parents were like, why they are how they are…?
    • Try to come up with a more unique backstory as the ones involving a family killed by orcs is pretty common
  • Metagaming is not allowed at all to clarify for you!
  • Your Personality Traits/Quirks must be purely personality! Don’t include anything physical in there. 
  • Your Personality Traits/Quirks must include at least one significant negative trait. This can be anything that is a fault in their personality. 
  • Your Roleplay Scenario Response is too short! It must be at least 4 sentences long and include at least one piece of dialogue in quotes, and one action!
  • Your Skin is not up to LotC standards. Please take a look at our Skin Archive for references and free skins that you may use if you’d like.
