Born in the elven enclave of Haelun’or on the continent of Aevos, the young High Elf grew up in a highly ordered community where purity of knowledge and magic was considered sacred. His parents were both minor scholars in service to the city’s archives, devoted to preserving ancient texts. From an early age, he showed a curious and independent nature, often more interested in the world beyond the crystal walls than in the strict rules of his people. His childhood was spent among bright libraries and basic training in magic and light weaponry. Over time, he began to see the rigid doctrines of Haelun’or as limiting, and grew a desire to understand foreign cultures and realms such as the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska and the lands of Oren. Eventually, he left his homeland in secret, traveling along merchant routes toward the human continent in search of freedom and knowledge. Now he wanders as a willing exile, carrying the wisdom of his people with him, in search of a land to live in that matches his stature and meets his expectations.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

“I come from Haelun’or, in Tahn’miar,” he said calmly, his tone controlled and precise. “I am hundreds of lands away from home, and I still seek a place worthy of my knowledge…” he said, then rose in silence. Without another word or glance back, he continued on his path, leaving everything behind him as he pressed forward.
