Elisabet was born into the lower class, by Anne and William Hogget Bethell. They had two other children, Marie, and Edward Hogget Bethell. She began chores at the age of 7, everyday her life consisted of praying, cleaning the house, making food for her family, practicing baking and cooking, feeding the animals, and milking the cows, and praying again. She was 10 when she learned how to make her own clothes and finally got the chance to take care of her family's herb garden. She was 13 when her younger brother, Edward passed away from a dry cough to coughing up blood in just 6 months at the age of 11. Her parents would die that same year from a horse accident, Anne hitting her head, William going crazy and eventually killing himself. Elisabet has been living with her grandmother, Angus, for 2 years since her parents death, her older sister, Marie left 1 year earlier, and rarely receives her sister letters. Elisabet began her diary at the age of 17, just 3 years after her sister leaving the family. Her grandmother Angus would die of "Unkown causes" the doctors said, but it could've been an infection in the lungs or an infection in the mouth, her symptoms were too disturbing to mention,the infections runs in the blood of the Hogget Bethell's. Now, Elisabet Hogget Bethell is 18. Elisabet is now 18, and dreams of becoming a good mother to her future kids, and hopes that she won't always live in fear of what runs in her blood. Elisabet would later on distance her sister bond with her older sister Marie, she has nothing left to live for, but dreams to leave the past aside. Elisabet is basically living kind of a sad life because of the lack of money, and dead family members that meant everything to her, and to know that her sister forgot her a couple of times and didn't really like her to begin with made it even worse. Elisabet looked at him with a heartwarming smile as she looked around at the shops and stalls. "I came here to just live my life, I don't care about money or adventure, I just want a place that I could call home, and I would enjoy to have a lover by my side, start a family." Her gaze trailed back at the man in front of her.
