    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: when you do an action and don't let the other person have a say. like forcing someone to eat poison, should let them say if they drink or not.

In the village of Gentra, lived a girl who was always fascinated by magic. Bellarose (Bella) use to dream of being a magic user. Always secretly dressing up in robes and using sticks as wands she use to play indoors fighting orcs, goblins ,and even other humans. Her mother always worried about her, knowing the village they come from is far beyond accepting of magic users. As bella grew up she gathered books about magic, stayed up all night to read and memorize every word. By the age of 15 bella knew why she was always indoors playing magic games. She also remembered the first banishment. It was a boy, his name was jackson he was found using magic in the forest. Bella always kept it as a secret from then on. Her mother and her were the only ones who knew her secret, her father was on side with the town, opposed the magic, thankfully he was never home. When bella turned 18 her mother got sick. One that could be easily fixed with magic. She begged her mother to let her help, she refused. As bella thought about what could happen if she didn’t act, she gathered her magic books and started paging through. She didn’t hear when the village doctor come in. he saw her and her books. Yelling words like monster and witch the doctor ran out to tell the village of her malicious ways and how she was the one who was killing her mother. Frightened, her mother told her she needed to go. Her mother's last words as she laid on the bed was, “ bella, be  who you want to be.” and with that her mother's last breath was taken from her. As bella heard the village that was coming to look at her deceitful ways, she gathered only 4 magic books some gold and bread and headed off, in hope to find someone who can teach her magic and some place that would be accepting to her and her wishes. A month later, bella stumbled upon a city called Sutica Atlas. This is where her adventure have lead her. ( I do know you have to find a teacher to teach you the magic. my char has never used magic just have studied it for some time) ( i am also awear that Gentra isnt a real village, its from a far off land. One out of Atlas.)

Physical Description: orange hair, purple eyes, an braclet that has a gem on the center of each color, shes 5'5 and thin.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Ø  Your metagaming and powergaming definitions are correct in essence, however they are very vague and lacking in detail. Please add more to these (Maybe examples too), and refer to our LOTC Metagaming & Powergaming wiki pages for the most correct and relevant info (Just keep in mind not to plagiarize)

 

Ø  There is no village called Gentra on LotC. Please refer to the wiki to find existing settlements and villages.
